Rallying with Rotary
The Rotary Retro Automobile Fellowship of GB & I (RRAF) is the UK and Irish chapter of the international Antique, Classic and Historic Automobile World Fellowship of Rotarians (ACHAFR). This Fellowship, originally called the RRAF, is an International association of Rotarians dedicated to promoting the preservation and utilisation of antique, classic and historic automobiles as an opportunity for fellowship and service.
The Fellowship was originally founded in 1988 by Brian Henry of the Rotary club of Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, with the UK chapter being formed soon after. Other chapters exist in Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal with contact representatives in Austria, Australia, Finland, Uruguay and New Zealand
One of its main activities is organising an Annual Tour - the 1st being held in 2007 in conjunction with the RIBI Conference. For 2015 the Fellowship is making a sojourn into France for the Tour de Loire between September 6 & 8. The Entry List is now nearly full with only a few places left..

It also supports the ACHAFR International Tour which last year was organised by the Rotary Club of Scunthorpe Pentagon covering the Three Counties of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. For 2015 the RODM - ACHAFR's German Chapter - will be organising the ACHAFR European Tour based in Luxembourg between June 12 and 14 for which the Entry List still has to open..
Although the Fellowship does not actually organise Fund Raising Events, it does support Rotary Clubs either holding or thinking of organising Classic Car Events for Charitable puposes. A list of such events can be found elsewhere in tis website. One initiative it does have however is its support for Rotary International's END POLIO NOW initiative through an arrangement with TyreFactors .who supply Tyres at wholesale prices and donate 2.5% of sales proceeds to The Rotary Foundation.
